Posted on October 8, 2026

Families, caregivers, workers, and community members are invited to participate in a special training program focused on understanding dementia and improving relationships with individuals living with dementia.

What Participants Will Learn:

  • Understand what dementia is and what it is not
  • Recognize typical versus atypical changes
  • Understand how brain changes affect abilities and communication
  • Learn the GEMS® States of Brain Change
  • Practice supportive approaches for individuals living with dementia
  • Develop practical strategies and next steps for caregivers and families
