My second fox in the past 6 months, on January 8th at -8 degrees, pouncing in the garden on tunneling moles, he/she couldn’t remember his exit strategy, which may have been through the porch. So she started to go up the steps, when I spoke (evidently she didn’t hear or see me, 6 feet away!) I glimpsed the icicles on his belly fur as he scampered away. Antique Rose on Red Hill – Struggles to stay alive along the road side of the old farm and doing well this year. – June 2012. The roots must be 100 years old and I’ve seen it bloom for over 60. I know of one other, over the mountain, on my great-grandparents farm from the late 1800’s.
