Hop on and explore Ulster County this summer with the Ulster County Nature Bus! The Nature Bus provides free rides and free entry to some of Ulster County’s most scenic outdoor destinations on Saturdays from June through September 2026.
The Nature Bus operates two alternating routes – the Ridge Route and the River Route – connecting riders with parks, preserves, beaches, trails, and other outdoor recreation destinations.
Ridge Route Destinations:
- Mohonk Preserve Testimonial Gateway Trailhead
- Mohonk Preserve Visitors Center
- Minnewaska State Park Preserve
Ridge Route Service Dates:
June 6 & 20
July 11 & 25
August 8 & 22
September 5 & 19
River Route Destinations:
- Sojourner Truth State Park
- Kingston Point Beach
- Black Creek Preserve
- Walkway Over the Hudson
River Route Service Dates:
June 13 & 27
July 4 & 18
August 1, 15 & 29
September 12 & 26
Please note: There will be no service to Sojourner Truth State Park on June 13 due to construction.
