Your drinking water may be eligible for PFAS testing and rebate funding!

PFAS chemicals are found in many household and commercial products. They can persist in the environment and have been detected in drinking water across the country, and are associated with significant health risks, from liver damage and thyroid disease to cancer.

Ulster County residents who get their drinking water from private wells can now apply for free PFAS testing and rebates for water treatment systems, as part of New York State’s new Private Well PFAS Testing and Mitigation Rebate Pilot Program.
